This scheme intends to provide production incentive to weavers. allied workers. individual allied workers/handloom consortiums engaged in street warping process for encouraging them to improve their productivity.. The additional wages to be paid over and above the normal wages shall be given as production incentive. Wage per meterage multiplied by additional meterage weaved per day multiplied by 2 will be the production incentive for that weaver. Additional Production shall be calculated and the incentive will be disbursed on quarterly basis.

  1. As per this scheme if a weaver weaves over and above the standard meterage fixed by the expert committee. that weaver will be given additional wages equivalent to twice the wages for that additional meterage weaved. In the case of allied worker. additional wages will be given @2 times the normal rate for the extra workload done by the worker and they are eligible for production incentive as per the norms prescribed by the technical committee.
  2. Additional meterage weaved by the weaver is taken for reckoning eligible production incentive. Maximum amount is limited to Rs. 175 per day and Rs. 1000 per week per weaver.

Eligibility

  1. Weavers shall be a member and permanent worker of the Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society under the Handloom Department/ permanent working member of the handloom cluster approved by the Government of India.
  2. Weavers coming under weaving factory of Hantex and Individual weavers coming under Hanveev are eligible.
  3. Weavers falling under Income Support Scheme is not eligible for incentive under the scheme.
  4. Allied workers and individual allied workers/handloom consortiums engaged in street warping process working under Handloom Society / Cluster will also eligible for incentive.

The Co-operative Inspector of the concerned circle shall verify and certify the production and additional production carried over by the weaver. ADIO of concerned Taluk shall supercheck and countersign the certificate. General Manager. District Industries Centre shall sanction and disburse production incentive based on the report & certificate of inspectors concerned and recommendation of ADIO.
